Internship Opportunities

Internship Program Overview

Our internship program offers a unique opportunity for Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling students to gain hands-on experience in a private practice setting. Under the supervision of an in-house AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor in Training, interns will have the chance to practice therapy with clients while learning the administrative side of understanding a private practice.

Interns are encouraged to be proactive, bringing their interests to life through workshops, groups, and other initiatives. This includes researching and marketing these offerings to the community. Students will also be expected to adhere to HIPAA regulations and ethical codes, ensuring professional standards are maintained at all times.

As a private practice, we place great emphasis on the importance of building a caseload. Success in this role depends not only on the guidance provided but also on an intern’s initiative and proactive efforts to attract clients. We are looking for master's-level interns who come with a natural drive to build their practice and expand their client base, in addition to the support provided by our team.

If you are ready to contribute, grow, and be a part of a dynamic team, we invite you to email us and explore the possibility of joining us!

The ideal intern who is looking to work with ANC will be:

  • Able to maintain a caseload of 10+ clients per week

  • Open to working evenings or weekends to meet client needs

  • A self-motivator who is proactive and thrives in an independent work environment

  • Excited to be part of a collaborative team and serve the community

  • Passionate about providing specialized, high-quality care

  • Committed to personal and professional growth
